How to Download Free Music

The Internet has enabled music listeners to download music for free from anywhere in the world. Some websites offer free downloads to promote music bands while others specialize in song libraries containing old classics or the latest chart toppers. Another method that can be used to download free music is to share music files on a peer-to-peer (P2P) network.

Steps

  1. Visit mp3Skull, mp3raid or any similar site listed here: List of Music Downloading Websites

  2. Search for the songs that you want to download. After you find the song, you will see a download button next to it and pressing this button will allow you to download and save the song file on your computer.
  3. All music on is presented only for fact-finding listening.
    • You must remove a song from the computer after listening.
    • If you won't delete files from the computer, you'll break the copyrights protection laws.

Warnings

  • Disclaimer:
  • These sites do not host any of the music files displayed on this site, they merely index these files which are located on remote servers.
  • All music on is presented only for fact-finding listening.
  • You must remove a song from the computer after listening.
  • As said, if you won't delete files from the computer, you'll break the copyright protection laws.
  • All the rights on the songs are the property of their respective owners.
  • If you have found a link to an illegal mp3 file please use the form available on the website to report infringement.
  • Never download files that infringe on copyrights or if you suspect that the file might have a virus. Extra care must be taken especially when downloading from peer-to-peer networks because the source of the file is unverified. In fact, some P2P software like Limewire are already under court jurisdiction and banned from further use, so you must be very careful.
